    Real Time Prescription Benefit

    Standard RTPBs aren’t really providing the value they could be.
    Gemini health optimizes the value of RTPBs, providing at least 4:1 Return On Investment.

    Currently Live RTPB with CVS PBM

    • Payer's patients/members are identified in the EHR
    • Transactions are sent through Surescripts to the PBM.
    • PBM selects the alternatives.
    • PBM returns patient costs/savings only.

    RTPB with Gemini and CVS PBM

    • All providers live on RTP8 switch to Gemini/PBM with no provider involvement - enablement is handled on the back end.
    • Gemini provides pre-processingand post-processing on the transactions before and after the PBM receives the transaction for pricing
    • Upon payer go-live, Providers immediately begin to receive significantly more and better alternatives and total savings for alternatives (in addition to patient savings/cost).
    • Reporting is provided to show savings achieved and enable further adoption and use with provider partners.

    Drugs & Savings Report - "DSR"

    While new prescription drug savings is important, the largest drug spend is on maintenance and periodic drugs that patients are already on. So, Gemini developed a way to provide these drugs and their lower cost alternatives at the point of prescribing and in other drug optimization workflows.

    DSR for Prescribers Integrated with
    Electronic Health Records (EHRs)

    • Request DSR App from EHR “App Store”
    • Triggered by patient visit

    DSR for Health System Pharmacists

    • On demand for pharmacists — by practice, specialty, etc.
    • Delivered in Gemini MedOps Application
    • The DSR-D Service provides requested DSRs for Managed Care Pharmacists and Population Health Team for triage of drug cost savings opportunities.
    • DSRs can be targeted for specific members, drugs and/or providers, and incorporated into all MTM.
    • End-users use the MedOps web application to request DSRs, review returned DSR savings opportunities, work with prescribers and/or patients to recommend switches to lower cost alternatives, and to track their work activity.
    • Gemini provides reporting on activity and resulting savings.
